Saint Patrick’s Day is a historic Irish holiday where Lenten restrictions are lifted. This allows religious people to eat and drink anything for the one day. Many Irish natives celebrate the day by drinking whiskey, beer, or hard cider. it is also tradition to place a shamrock in the bottom of your glass which would either be swallowed or taken out and thrown over your shoulder for “good luck.”
St. Patty’s Day isn’t just about the drinking though. As a matter of fact, it’s far from it. The holiday started out as a day of religious reverence used to commemorate St. Patrick, celebrate Irish heritage, and to give thanks. The Irish traditionally celebrate the day by enjoying good meal with friends and family.
St. Patty’s Day Brunch Recipes ☘️
1. Irish Soda Bread Scones with Honey Cinnamon Butter by Ashley of Baker by Nature
This recipe is super easy to make the night before and is sure to please even the pickiest of eaters. I love the honey cinnamon butter. I recommend using Kerry Gold butter as well as adding a bit of nutmeg and ground cardamom. You can also serve it alongside some raspberry or strawberry jam!
2. Corned Beef Hash Baked Eggs by Justine of Cooking and Beer
This is a great recipe to make for a big crowd. I like to add a bit of Pecorino Romano cheese and chives to the top during the last 5 minutes of baking in the oven.
3. Corned Beef Hash Eggs Benedict by Spoon Fork Bacon
Eggs Benedict is one of my favorite breakfast dishes. I love this version with corned beef instead of the traditional Canadian bacon. This recipe can be a bit harder to pull off for a large crowd. Although, if you’re having a smaller get together on Saint Patrick’s Day, this one is a winner!
This recipe can be served on top of “farls” or “boxty” which is essentially the Irish version of a potato pancake. Click here for a gluten-free version with spicy Chipotle and cheddar cheese. It also pairs nicely with recipe #2 as well.
4. Slow Cooker Irish Oats by Ree Drummond of Food Network
These slow cooker Irish Oats are vegan, vegetarian, delicious and extremely easy to make ahead for a very large crowd. I like to substitute the brown sugar with a sugar-free berry compote instead. You can serve the compote on the side along with the coconut and almond mixture.
5. Slow Cooker Corned Beef & Cabbage Sliders with Guinness Mustard by Becky of The Cookie Rookie
Sliders are the ultimate crowd-pleaser at any party. These are particularly awesome because you can put the meat in the slow cooker overnight and assemble the sandwiches in the morning. However, when I make this recipe I do it a bit differently. I don’t add the 2 tablespoons of sugar to the meat and instead, I add in 2 more tablespoons of apple cider vinegar. I don’t add brown sugar to the Guinness dipping sauce either.
6. Guinness And Irish Cheddar Macaroni & Cheese by Allison of Celebrating Sweets
Just your classic creamy, buttery, and totally delicious Mac & Cheese with Irish sharp cheddar, garlic, and Guinness! 😍
7. Beef and Guinness Hand Pies by Rachael Dart of Spache The Spatula
You can easily make these hand pies ahead of time and can freeze them until they are ready to be served. They are delightfully savory and pair very well with a cold beer.
St. Patty’s Day brunch without a cocktail?! No way.
8. Creamy Irish Coffee by Taste of Home
It doesn’t get much easier than this boozy Irish coffee recipe. I like to use Bailey’s Almond Milk Liqueur which is dairy-free. I also love to use drip coffee made with Maple Bourbon Barrel Aged Coffee from Paradiso Farm.
9. Irish Iced Coffee Recipe by Sarah Karnasiewicz of Real Simple
Prefer your coffee on ice? I use Northern Bayou Cold Brew Coffee and vanilla simple syrup for this super easy cocktail recipe.

10. Irish 75 by Sarah Karnasiewicz of Real Simple
Not feeling caffeine? Try out this super refreshing spring cocktail recipe. I love using La Marca Prosecco for the sparkling wine component!
