As someone who loves to experiment with different makeup looks, I’m always on the hunt for new products that work for me. It can be a real challenge to find a good foundation and concealer combo. I’ve been using the Too Faced Born This Way line of products for over 8 years now, and I absolutely love the finish they give me. The only downside? The ingredients are not great for my health in the long run.
That’s where 100% Pure’s makeup collection comes in. I’ve heard a lot about their natural and toxic-free products, so I decided to give them a try. And let me tell you, I was blown away! Now, I have to admit, I haven’t completely weaned off my old “toxic” products yet. I’ve started incorporating 100% Pure’s foundation, powder, concealer, and many more of their products into my routine, and I’m loving the results. So, let’s break down my current makeup routine. It takes me about 20 to 25 minutes to complete, and it combines both natural and toxic-beauty products!
1. Luminous Primer by 100% Pure.
Primer is always the first step in my routine because it helps my foundation go on smoothly and stay in place all day and right now, I’m absolutely loving this primer for that very reason! Let’s start with the scent. Oh my god, it smells amazing. It’s like a sugary delicious cupcake, but not at all overwhelming. I love the little boost of happiness it gives me in the morning. The texture is just as great – it’s lightweight and absorbs quickly into my skin, leaving it feeling soft and hydrated all day long. I think what really sets this primer apart is the fact that it’s made with 100% natural and non-toxic ingredients. It’s packed with skin-nourishing antioxidants like acai berry, goji berry, and pomegranate, which not only feel great on my skin but also provide long-term benefits. I love knowing that I’m not putting any harmful chemicals on my face, especially since I wear makeup almost every day!
2. Fruit Pigmented® Full Coverage Water Foundation by 100% Pure.
I’m all about trying out new foundations, but it’s hard to find a formula that truly matches my skin tone. That’s why I was pleasantly surprised when I found a hack to mix two different shades of 100% Pure’s Fruit Pigmented Full Coverage Foundation to get my perfect match. I love how the formula is packed with nourishing fruit pigments like peach and apricot, which not only give me a natural-looking glow but also provide long-term benefits for my skin. Plus, the coverage is buildable, so I can go for a more natural look or layer it up for a full glam moment. The best part? This foundation is completely non-toxic, which is a huge plus for me. Does it perform as well as the Too Faced Born This Way? To be honest, no, but regardless I reach for it every day as a part of my current go-to makeup routine.
3. Too Faced Born This Way Concealer.
My fave concealer that’s been a staple in my makeup bag for years is full-coverage and brightens up my under-eye area like a boss. But, I’ll be honest, it’s not clean or non-toxic. Still, it’s been my holy grail concealer for so long. I do, howver, plan to try the 100% Pure concealer soon to see if it’s a worthy replacement!
4. Too Faced Born This Way Ethereal Setting Powder.
This setting powder really does the job and creates a flawless finish. However, it’s not natural and not particularly good to be breathing in on application either. I got the Bamboo Blur Powder but I’m not really a big fan because if you apply too much then it leaves a visible white cast and the product itself has a huge amount of kickback. So, for the time being, Born This Way powder is here to stay.
5. Cocoa Pigmented Bronzer by 100% Pure.
This bronzer is a dream come true with its easy application and sun-kissed golden glow. A little bit can really go long way. Start the application with a light hand around the face because the product will oxidize throughout the day. Its vitamin-rich formulation of cocoa, coffee, tomato, and berries makes it a clean and non-toxic product that you can feel good about using on your skin!
6. Fruit Pigmented® Blush by 100% Pure.
This blush is my new go-to! It’s non-toxic and gives my skin a beautiful youthful glow that I absolutely adore. I’m getting rid of all my other blushes because this is honestly the only one I need. It’s infused with rosehip oil and cocoa butter, making it glide onto your skin like butter!
7. Wild Nothing Eyeshadow Palette by Colourpop.
This eye shadow palette is everything! The formula is buttery soft and applies effortlessly. I can’t get enough of the shades “Spirited,” “Salton,” and “No Bounds.” I use “No Bounds” in my crease and usually “Spirited” or “Salton” for the base of the lid. This is definitely my favorite palette at the moment.
8. e.l.f. Cosmetics Instant Lift Brow Pencil.
The best eyebrow pencil in the game for only $3.00–enough said.
9. Fruit Pigmented® Ultra Lengthening Mascara.
This mascara is seriously amazing – the scent is just divine! It’s not the most volumizing formula out there, but it doesn’t flake and keeps my lashes looking natural yet extended. I usually curl my lashes before applying, and sometimes add a few coats for extra oomph. But honestly, I’m willing to sacrifice a little bit of drama for a non-toxic option. This is the only completely natural and non-toxic mascara I’ve found, and I feel good about using it knowing that it’s not harming my health and my eyeballs for that matter. Plus, did I mention how good it smells?!
10. Fruit Pigmented® Cocoa Butter Matte Lipstick by 100% Pure
Did you know that the average woman consumes 4 to 9 pounds of lipstick in her lifetime? That’s a lot of toxic ingredients entering your body. That’s why I’m ditching all of my non-100% Pure lipsticks. This lipstick has decent wear time, lasting around 2 hours before needing a touch-up, especially if you’re eating or drinking. It’s a must-have in your purse if you’re going out! My absolute favorite shade is “Sahara.” It’s simply stunning, and I always get compliments when wearing it. So why not go natural and get a gorgeous pout without sacrificing your health?
And let’s be real – I wear makeup almost every day, so it’s important to me that the products I use are safe and free of harmful chemicals. I’m slowly but surely making my way towards getting rid of toxic makeup products and replacing them with all-natural alternatives. It’s taking a while but I’m determined to make it work! Have you used any of these products? What did you think? I’d love to hear your thoughts about what I should try next in the comments below! 👇
