Archie’s Grill is an American comfort food joint serving up hamburgers, milkshakes, fries, subs, and all other things that are absolutely terrible for you but so delicious nonetheless. After the original location closed, they moved across the street to bigger and better digs at 4066 Shelburne Road. It’s a favorite among Shelburne, VT locals for classic American comfort food!
It’s neighboring restaurant The Scoop is under the same ownership. They make the delicious homemade ice cream that Archie’s serves in their milkshakes. You can frequently find their coupons for $5 off any order of $25 or more on the back of your receipt from Market32!
The atmosphere of this restaurant is reminiscent of a 50’s diner but the lighting fixtures give it a slightly more modern feeling. You walk in and go up to the counter, place your order, and grab a seat. They have beer and cider on draft from Citizen Cider, Switchback, Fiddlehead, and more.
I ordered the Misty Knoll Turkey Burger ($9.75) with fresh ground Misty Knoll turkey from New Haven, VT. I love that it’s locally sourced! The patty is mixed with feta cheese, red onions, fresh basil, and carrots. It’s topped with roasted red peppers and spicy chipotle aioli. We got an order of onion rings ($3.25) which Ian and I shared too!
Ian ordered the Chipotle Sirloin sandwich ($9.49) with thinly sliced certified Angus heated and topped with spicy chipotle sauce, pepper jack cheese, and roasted red peppers. Ian (my native Vermonter) has been ordering the Chipotle Sirloin sandwich since the restaurant opened. It’s by far his favorite thing on their menu—he absolutely loves it.
Archie’s is a great place to stop for a quick bite to eat at an affordable price. I highly recommend the Misty Knoll Burger! It’s my favorite thing on the menu and has never disappointed me. Their onion rings are also incredible! The total for the meal came to $28.10 and $23.10 after using our coupon.
