The best late Galentine’s Day celebration @honeyroadrestaurant with @likejenyee 💖

🔹Harissa Chicken Wings ~ sweet & spicy brown sugar harissa tossed with a side of dried lime labne for dipping. These are probably the best chicken wings in #BurlingtonVT and that dipping sauce?! OMG. 🔥

🔹Baba Ganoush ~ Smokey smooth eggplant with pickled cauliflower. This was the best Baba Ganoush I’ve ever had! 🍆

🔹Haloumi Cheese ~ Seared haloumi cheese, grapes, hot honey, walnuts, sage…wildly delicious! 🍯

🔹Potatoes ~ Fingerling potatoes, spicy Tahini, pickles, feta - it was good, but not anything outstanding. 🤷‍♀️

🔹Cabbage ~ infused with garlic, topped with pine nuts. I honestly didn’t know cabbage could taste THAT good. 🤤

🍸Blank Joy ~ @barrhillgin, Mahleb, kumquat, Lane, & honey. This wasn’t my favorite cocktail in the world but it was decent!

Not pictured: Lamb Dolma because I just wasn’t a fan. 😕

Honey Road is overall a pretty solid spot to have dinner in Burlington. It’s pretty pricey but for the food, service, and atmosphere it’s worth it for a special occasion! ☺️🎀 #BeTrueToYou

Might look like shit, but don’t be fooled…Demi-glacé sauce cutlet on omelette rice aka “Omurice” is a popular Japanese dish made of ketchup-flavored fried rice wrapped in a thin omelet. This might have been one of the best things I ate on our trip to #Japan, and believe me I ate like…a freaking lot. 😂

This restaurant is located in the Higashimuki Shopping Mall very close by to the Nara Deer Park. If you’re planning a trip to #NaraJapan, I highly recommend eating at this restaurant after the park! The lady running it is an absolute hustler, and the meal is unforgettable! 💛

Give me konbini or give me ☠️ These were some of my fav snacks & drinks in #Japan that I miss dearly. 🇯🇵

7/11 Smoothie ~ grab a smoothie cup from the freezer & pay for it before putting it in the smoothie machine. Remove the plastic film before putting it in the machine, & add coolish ice cream after it’s done blending.🫐

World Famous Egg Sando ~ found at 7/11, it’s as light, fluffy, & delicious as everyone says. I recommend trying the chicken teriyaki egg sando for added flavor/protein though too! 🥚

Cream Brûlée ~ cheap & mind blowingly delicious with a classically crisp sugar shell & smooth creamy filling. This had to be my favorite konbini dessert! 🍮

Bracken Starch Jelly & Whipped Cream ~ had the consistency of mochi just a bit more gelatinous. It wasn’t too sweet or filling so it made the perfect after dinner treat! 💗

Potato & Beef Croquette ~ sweet, savory, hot, crispy, & delicious. Get it at Family Mart. A fair warning the croquettes & curry bread at FM are highly addictive. 😍

Vitamin Lemon ~ guzzled these throughout the trip because I was sick for 2 weeks. They didn’t really help fight off whatever bacterial infection I was dealing with, but they were super tasty! 😅

Orion Natura ~ I wish they sold these in the States because this was the best alcoholic beverage I’ve ever had! If you’re ever in #Okinawa be sure to try all the flavors! 🥭

Dashi Stock with Laver Boiled in Soy ~ surprisingly tummy soothing with the perfect combo of slightly sweet/salty. This was a favorite snack towards the end of the trip! 😋

Pocari Sweat ~ one of the best electrolyte drinks I’ve had. It’s sweet and citrusy - perfect for after a couple hours in the Onsen or a long walk. I walked 13 miles by myself throughout Okinawa & this was seriously a life saver! 🥵 #BeTrueToYou

It’s about the heartbreaking reality of loving someone you can’t be with in this lifetime—kept apart by circumstances beyond your control. It carries a haunting Romeo-and-Juliet energy, where the only reunion will come in that final moment, when you close your eyes for the last time and step into the next life knowing they’ll be there, waiting. It’s a love that defies time, death, and distance—a connection so deep it that transcends lifetimes. 💫

✨DEMO 🎧 You’ll never be prepared to lose someone you love. The process of sorting through a loved one’s belongings after they pass away is gut wrenching. Everyone has their own process with grief, and I’ve certainly been on a long journey with mine. I finally had the opportunity to spend time by myself for two days in a house that I called my second home (right before I left for Japan). The process was nothing short of therapeutic…after going through two whole boxes of tissues, and wearily staring at my phone screen through swollen teary eyes, I created this song. It captures every emotion that I felt…nostalgia, heart ache, and the absolute love that this woman left behind. She was the most special, irreplaceable person. I’m sending you big hugs if you’re going through the holiday season dealing with grief. ❤️
