Champlain Islands Half Marathon 🏅It was a beautiful morning up in the islands running along the lake, enjoying the breeze, foliage, and warmth of the sun. ☺️ Although, I didn’t have as much time to train as I would have liked and the course was much hillier than expected, I ended up running my second best half marathon time ever today! This is my third half marathon and I’ve come to realize that when it comes to fitness I need a concrete goal to work towards. The broad objectives like “having a more toned body” or “being more healthy” doesn’t really work for me…I need the goal, the challenge, and the reward. That feedback loop has carried me in every aspect of my life. I’m so grateful to have a strong healthy body that allows me to push my limits and I’ll never take it for granted. ☀️ #BeTrueToYou

Vermont is my home sweet home! 💚 After years of

Vermont is my home sweet home! 💚 After years of extremely hard work, I finally purchased my first home this past month! This has long been a goal of mine & accomplishing it at 27 by myself feels incredibly surreal. I’m still very much settling into the new place, but wanted to take a moment to thank the people who got me here. ⬇️

My best friend @jenyeefromtheblock who cried with me on the day I signed the purchase & sale and who has been there for me through thick & thin for 10 years. You have loved me through so many versions of myself & that is irreplaceable. Can’t wait to pop that bottle of @veuveclicquot that you surprised me with once we are both settled in to our new VT digs. 😉🍾🥂

@drisky_business_ for coming up to help Matty B move the big stuff while Jen and I grabbed the UHaul and hustled to pack up my apartment. Ty, I’m sorry that I had to serve you ribs, rice, and green beans with an ice cream scooper because we didn’t know where anything was that night 🤣 I promise to have utensils the next time you visit. 👌

@twarren802 for giving me a great place to work for 4 years at @inspiredclosetsvermont in order to build more of a nest egg for myself. 🔨

@sarahharrington757 @sarahharringtonrealestate for being my first marketing consulting client which helped me to save more away to put towards this goal. 🏡

It wasn’t easy by any means. There were so many days were I was completely exhausted to my bones & still showed up…at one point working 3 jobs, house sitting, and pet sitting all at the same time. I never made excuses. That’s a page out my dear Grandmother Irene Blazey’s book. She always told me as a kid that I could do anything that I set my mind out to do & well, I think she’s looking down on me proud of the woman I’ve become. ❤️‍🩹

To my parents @sharon_blazey & @blazeychris who showed me what hard work & dedication really look like. 🥺

2X Half Marathon Runner 🥹🌟 Let’s call last

2X Half Marathon Runner 🥹🌟 Let’s call last year beginners luck…with no training plan (just listening to my body to train) I ran a 9:23/mile. This year I trained longer + harder, but ran a 10:27/mile. But, guess what? We were all running the same race & as they say “your race, your pace.” I like to think that this philosophy can be applied to a lot more than just running. 🤍

Did I have a target pace I wanted to hit? Absolutely! But, it’s okay that it didn’t happen for me this time around. I sprained my MCL one month ago doing something stupid and I felt completely devastated. After months of hard work and training, I didn’t even think I’d be able to run this race. The fact that I healed as fast as I did and still ran a 10:27/mile is a testament to how strong/healthy my body truly is. I’m SO grateful for that! 💪

Speaking of grateful @jenyeefromtheblock and Matty B. showed up for your girl and went above & beyond. When I saw the signs Jen took the time to make me, I teared up as I ran by. Everyone has their lifetime milestones, and running these races are some of mine. While they may not be conventional milestones, they are meaningful to me, and the support did not go unnoticed. 🥰

Lastly but certainly not leasty, big ups to my running partner, Chris Larose and @cbhbhomesvt for sponsoring us on team “Running Home” again this year! You guys rock! 😉🏡

I already can’t wait to run my next half marathon which looks to be like it’s going to be this October! 👻 #BeTrueToYou
